POSE PA established in 2005
POSE Performing Arts was founded in 2005. After a successful professional career and many years of teaching for other schools, Miss Fiona opened the doors… well, hired a few halls in Matraville, Maroubra and Chifley! Armed with a stereo and herself, she advertised classes and the rest was history. The first concert only had 34 students performing – however, word travelled fast that POSE was the place to be and within two years POSE had grown to around 150 students. It was then that they found their first “home” of their own – a little factory in Bay St Botany and the growth continued to happen. Not just the number of students, but more teachers, and more talent!
In 2020 POSE moved to the beautiful new studio’s in Margate St. Over the past 16 years, POSE has grown to be the leading dance school in Botany and now offers classes in RAD Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Acrobatics and Musical Theatre. POSE is a community within itself and many of the current teachers are ex students! POSE has had success Nationally in competitions, had many ex students go on to professional careers and consistently achieves amazing results in RAD ballet exams.
POSE is a home away from home for the students, many starting at 2 or 3 years old and spending their childhood dancing. At POSE, it is not just dance that is being taught: Dance teaches discipline, teamwork, time management and of course life long friendships are made between the students, teachers and parents. We look forward to welcoming you to the POSE family.
